Baz\u0131 sergiler yaln\u0131zca eserleri bir araya getirmez; ayn\u0131 zamanda biriktirilen deneyimlere, de\u011fi\u015fen d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelere ve sanat\u0131n zaman i\u00e7erisindeki yolculu\u011funa da bakmam\u0131z\u0131 sa\u011flar. Cam sanat\u0131ndan heykele, farkl\u0131 y\u00fczeylerdeki resimlerden \u00e7e\u015fitli malzeme ve anlat\u0131m bi\u00e7imlerine uzanan sergi, sanat\u0131n tek bir malzemeye ya da ifade bi\u00e7imine s\u0131\u011fmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131<\/strong> bir kez daha hat\u0131rlat\u0131yor. Her sanat\u00e7\u0131n\u0131n kendi d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131 kurdu\u011fu bu se\u00e7kide, \u00f6zellikle \u00fc\u00e7 ismin eserleri bende daha g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir iz b\u0131rakt\u0131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ak\u0131n G\u00fcre\u015f\u2019in kent kaosunu ve distopik atmosferleri \u00e7a\u011fr\u0131\u015ft\u0131ran resimleri, sergide beni en \u00e7ok etkileyen i\u015fler aras\u0131ndayd\u0131. \u0130lk bak\u0131\u015fta yo\u011fun ve karma\u015f\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcnen kompozisyonlar\u0131n i\u00e7ine girdik\u00e7e, her ayr\u0131nt\u0131n\u0131n yeni bir hik\u00e2yeye kap\u0131 aralad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 hissettim. Kentin d\u00fczensizli\u011fi, insan\u0131n bu yap\u0131 i\u00e7erisindeki konumu ve distopya hissi, resimlerin yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 gerilimi g\u00fc\u00e7lendiriyordu. Baz\u0131 resimler yaln\u0131zca bakt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131z bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fc de\u011fildir; i\u00e7ine girdik\u00e7e sizi huzursuz eden bir d\u00fcnyaya d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcr.<\/strong> G\u00fcre\u015f\u2019in eserleri benim i\u00e7in tam olarak b\u00f6yleydi; ayr\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131 ke\u015ffettik\u00e7e hissetti\u011fim tekinsizlik daha da artt\u0131.<\/p>\n\n\n

Edanur Arslantay\u2019\u0131n eserinde ise sembollerin kullan\u0131m\u0131, renklerin canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve anlat\u0131n\u0131n derinli\u011fi \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yordu. Bireyin otorite ve g\u00fc\u00e7 ili\u015fkileri i\u00e7erisinde anonimle\u015fmesini dini ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel \u00f6gelerle ele almas\u0131, eseri yaln\u0131zca g\u00f6rsel a\u00e7\u0131dan de\u011fil, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnsel olarak da etkileyici k\u0131l\u0131yordu. Renklerin g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc etkisi ile sembollerin ta\u015f\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131 anlamlar aras\u0131nda kurulan ili\u015fki, izleyiciyi g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00f6tesine bakmaya davet ediyordu. Benim i\u00e7in bu eserin en \u00e7arp\u0131c\u0131 yan\u0131, bireyin kimli\u011fini sorgulat\u0131rken toplumsal yap\u0131lar\u0131n g\u00f6r\u00fcnmez bask\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 da hissettirmesiydi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Hale \u00c7elik\u2019in cam sanat\u0131ndaki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131ysa malzeme ile anlat\u0131m aras\u0131ndaki ili\u015fkiyi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmemi sa\u011flad\u0131. Beden, haf\u0131za ve varolu\u015f temalar\u0131n\u0131n cam\u0131n narin do\u011fas\u0131yla birle\u015fmesi, eserin etkisini g\u00fc\u00e7lendiriyordu. K\u0131r\u0131lganl\u0131k, yaln\u0131zca kullan\u0131lan malzemenin fiziksel bir \u00f6zelli\u011fi olmaktan \u00e7\u0131karak eserin d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnsel d\u00fcnyas\u0131na da ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131yordu. Cam\u0131n \u0131\u015f\u0131kla kurdu\u011fu ili\u015fki ve ta\u015f\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131 k\u0131r\u0131lma ihtimali, bedenin ve belle\u011fin hassasiyetiyle yan yana geldi\u011finde olduk\u00e7a etkileyici bir anlat\u0131m ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yordu.<\/p>\n\n\n

Sergiden ayr\u0131l\u0131rken akl\u0131mda kalan, yaln\u0131zca be\u011fendi\u011fim eserler de\u011fil, birbirinden farkl\u0131 sanat\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131n ayn\u0131 mek\u00e2nda olu\u015fturdu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnsel \u00e7e\u015fitlilik oldu. Bence bir ar\u015fivi de\u011ferli k\u0131lan, yaln\u0131zca ge\u00e7mi\u015ften izler ta\u015f\u0131mas\u0131 de\u011fil, bu izlerin bug\u00fcnden yeniden okunabilmesine de olanak tan\u0131mas\u0131. \u201cAr\u015fiv\u201d, ge\u00e7mi\u015fe d\u00f6n\u00fcp bakarken bug\u00fcn\u00fcn sanat\u0131n\u0131 ve gelecekte kurulabilecek yeni hik\u00e2yeleri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmek i\u00e7in g\u00fczel bir f\u0131rsat sunuyor.<\/strong> Benim i\u00e7in hem g\u00f6rsel hem de d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnsel a\u00e7\u0131dan keyifli bir sergi deneyimiydi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tracing the Past into the Present: Loft Art\u2019s \u201cArchive\u201d Exhibition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some exhibitions do more than simply bring artworks together; they also allow us to reflect on accumulated experiences, changing perspectives, and the journey of art through time. For me, \u201cArchive,\u201d<\/strong> organized by Loft Art to celebrate its fifth anniversary, was exactly such an exhibition. Since 2021, Loft Art has provided independent artists with a space to showcase their work. This time, it brings together artworks by 23 artists who have previously participated in its exhibitions. Sponsored by Akfen Holding, the exhibition also brings together the company’s 50th anniversary and Loft Art’s five-year journey under one roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artists featured in the \u201cArchive\u201d exhibition are Asl\u0131 \u00d6zer, Ak\u0131n G\u00fcre\u015f, Bahad\u0131r H\u0131zol, Berkin G\u00fcnsay, Cihan Oral, Edanur Arslantay, Dil\u015fad Ak\u00e7ay\u00f6z, Do\u011fukan \u00c7i\u011fdem, Ece Haskan, Hale \u00c7elik, Eda Duru \u00c7etin, Emre Evcimen, Engin Konuklu, Fatih Altan, Fatih Kahya, \u0130rem Y\u0131lmaz, \u0130ynes Ey\u00fcp, K\u00fcbra Do\u011fu, Lale Y\u0131lmaz, Nil B\u00fcy\u00fckbayraktar, Reach Geblo, Taha D\u00fczler, and Ya\u011fmur Y\u0131lan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ranging from glass art and sculpture to paintings on various surfaces and different materials and forms of expression, the exhibition once again reminds us that art cannot be confined to a single material or form of expression.<\/strong> Within this selection, where each artist creates their own artistic world, the works of three artists left a particularly strong impression on me.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ak\u0131n G\u00fcre\u015f’s paintings, which evoke urban chaos and dystopian atmospheres, were among the works that impressed me most in the exhibition. As I looked beyond the dense and seemingly chaotic compositions at first glance, I felt that every detail opened the door to a new story. The disorder of the city, the individual’s position within this environment, and the sense of dystopia all intensified the tension created by the paintings. Some paintings are not merely images you look at; as you explore them, they become worlds that make you feel increasingly uneasy.<\/strong> G\u00fcre\u015f’s works were exactly like this for me; the more details I discovered, the stronger the sense of unease became.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Edanur Arslantay’s work, the use of symbols, the vibrancy of the colors, and the depth of the narrative stood out. Her exploration of how individuals become anonymous within relationships of authority and power through religious and cultural elements made the work compelling not only visually but also intellectually. The relationship established between the powerful impact of colors and the meanings carried by the symbols invited viewers to look beyond what was immediately visible. For me, the most striking aspect of this work was the way it questioned individual identity while also revealing the invisible pressures imposed by social structures.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hale \u00c7elik’s work in glass art, on the other hand, encouraged me to reflect on the relationship between material and expression. The combination of themes such as the body, memory, and existence with the delicate nature of glass strengthened the impact of the artwork. Fragility ceased to be merely a physical characteristic of the material and became part of the conceptual world of the piece. When the relationship glass establishes with light and its potential to break are considered alongside the vulnerability of the body and memory, a particularly powerful form of expression emerges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I left the exhibition, what stayed with me was not only the artworks I admired, but also the intellectual diversity created by bringing artists with such different approaches together in one space. I believe that what makes an archive valuable is not simply its ability to preserve traces of the past, but also its potential to allow these traces to be reinterpreted from the perspective of the present. \u201cArchive\u201d offers a wonderful opportunity to look back at the past while reflecting on contemporary art and the new stories that may emerge in the future.<\/strong> For me, it was an enjoyable exhibition experience, both visually and intellectually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
